What do you think about the recording in general. I'm the engineer and these are guys on the school basketball team.

it was done on a $400 jv1010. arpeggiation was from a roland xp-10.

It needs some ambience. I did not use too much reverb because I dont like those plugins and I'm waiting for my reverb to come in this week to apply some.

Anybody know of a good (cheap) sampler that will complement my current sounds?

this sounded like it was recorded on some nice shit. Mix is pretty nice, levels are off tha hook! Emcees are alright, but could have done better, I disagree with the last comment about the second one, I liked the first-----second one you can hear doubling, the first one you hear less(or at least it complements instead of overtakes) and his delivery is a little more heartfelt. Overall, beside the rappers, the productions sound good.

I actually didnt want the doubling at all , but they insisted. I think it sounds better solo.

I think it sounds a bit dry, but once I get my reverb, I'll get to it.

I dont know what patch I used. I'll check and post back tomorrow. I am pretty sure that its the "sinusoid rave" though. I'll find the bank and patch number.
