I've made clips of almost every piece of gear I've got...
This time it's Koch Pedaltone.
Dean v-->Pedaltone-->MXR 10-band EQ-->tracker.
Fernandes Jazz-->Pedaltone-->MXR 10-band EQ-->tracker.
In the MXR EQ, just a small notch at the 250Hz range.
Cleans and distorted, guitar and bass through the pedal.
...The poweramp tube makes a nice middley-ish crunch on bass..
Otherwise... no real character IMHO.
Playing dynamics are allright though.
Very "blanketed" at start, got a little more "sparkle" as I swapped the first and last tubes, to Sovtek 12ax7** ones.
Mediocre gain, at full tilt in the recording, enhance-knob off since it makes the thing noisy with hiss..
Haven't tried it through an amp yet.
Haven't doodled in a while, so left them soloes buried.
Original tune.
Hmmm..... bottom line:
Overpriced when compared to Engl Tubetoner or Mesa V-twin.
But the latter are discontinued..so..
Nice selection of outputs, versatile....
