My Digitech gnx3 effects pedal went on the fritz and I had to dig out an old korg pedal that fortunately (or unfortunately) I'd never gotten around to getting rid of. It sounds quite nasty so I hooked it up to a metal zone and tried to get creative. WTH at least I got this tune out of it...

Let me know your impressions, anything I should change etc...

Hahah.

Actually not a bad song.:)

Sounds sounded good enough for that kind of stuff...
Iron Butterfly meets Marilyn Manson meets some another weirdo.:D

sounds cool to me! But there seems to be a break in the loop in the repeating guitar part.

Dude, those are some freaky good sounds
Your drums sound dangerous as always.
Love the effects, tone, and sounds throughout... nice style, mix, structure, definitely something I'd listen to ;)

The guitar riffs are cool. The drums rock. What more do you want. :P

Jouni - Wierdo eh? Cool :D Thanks for the listen

Freudian Slip - Yeah there's glitches all over the damn thing. The guitar is actually mostly OK - it's a couple of the looped drum parts that have the breaks. It certainly wouldn't win any hi fidelity prizes. Thanks FS

SnakeDog5050 - Thanks for the words Snake. I'm glad you liked it

bigbubba
- Hey thanks bubba. Nice of you

Dogman - Ed! Yeah it doesn't happen often, but an actual vocal melody occurred to me while I was mixing. I had no lyrics so used an email from Digitech support. Thanks a lot man, good to hear from you

Ahhh. I was not positive wat it was. I Like the tune. That's the only thing that stood out to me as needing fix'n.

Some great riffs and groove in this one. I love this style of music. Dark, sexy and dirty....! Great changes, too. Some of it reminds of that group from the late 80's-early 90's...But I can't remember their name. It was more synth-oriented, but the same nasty attitude. I have to find them and get back to you. Great stuff.

Nice tone on the guitars....amazing what you've done with that stompbox. I'd try to tame some of the esses on the vocals. Othe rthan that it sounds great! :):D:):D

Yeah, I dig the grungey distorted tone...you always get cool synth tones/sounds on your recordings..good stuff.

Everything actually sounds pretty cool... It almost reminds me of an old band called "Pop Will Eat Itself". It is definately a fun sounding song and the various guitar melodies and such are catchy.

Sounds very good. Especially the drum performance and tone. Cool, the source of the lyrics - a technical support email... how 21st century. The arrangement has some nice moments of mysterious harmonies.

...I'd try to tame some of the esses on the vocals.
Agreed.

Badass song... That about sums it up for me. Just loaded it on my mp3 player... Hope you don't mind! :D

another fun listen

Hey:

This is cool...kind of schizophrenic even for you. Lots of abrupt changes. The guitars alternate from snarling modern nastiness to sounding like '80's metal riffs. The drums are much smaller and more processed sounding than previous submissions of yours. Not as "big" sounding, but the beats are still spot on.
I love the whole thing with the source of the lyrics and they fit the music perfectly.
I always enjoy your work...thanks.

I need an old Korg pedal. Maybe then I can come up with some cool shit like this...

Nice tune, man!

Freudian Slip - Those glitches were starting to annoy me so I went back & remixed the drums. Still not perfect but better. Sometimes it just needs someone to point out the obvious :D Thanks man

RAMI - Good to hear your thoughts on this one Rami, thanks

K-dub - You must have left your winceomoter over at the other place :D I didn't know that about Lennon. Cheers Kev

Nico2112 - Thanks for the listen Nico

ido1957 - Yeah I used a pop filter when I tracked the vocals, but they still sneak through. Anyway I've put a high shelf on them so they're slightly better. Thanks ido

variaxman
- Thanks man, I appreciate the listen

monkeymanx - Cheers dude. Thanks for checking it out

Timothy Lawler
- Haha yeah 21st century toy. Thanks for the comments Timothy, I'm glad you liked it

pikingrin
- Hey that's fine by me. Hope your mp3 player doesn't mind :D

heatmiser Yeah some parts go together better than others, there was a bit of trial an error involved in the arrangement. You're right, I've taken a lot of the room out of these drums - muted the tom mics totally & gated the snare, just trying different things, see what works. Hey thanks for the feedback

Rokket - Heh this Korg pedal is maybe 1 notch above my old Zoom505. Thanks for the listen

This song needs a green leather codpiece and breastplate, vampire fangs and a bloody sword... deep!:D
