pedal board power question...

Slowing becoming un-noob.
So I figure I really don't want to spend an assload of money on a small pedal board. So I'm going to make just something that will work with what I'm doing and such.

I'm wondering if anyone knows of a good way to power all your pedals...

I found this thing, but I'm not sure if it will work with all my pedals, and I also really don't know how reliable it is and such...

Anyone know of using that type of thing? would it work for what I'm doing?

Another way I've been thinking would be finding a powerstrip/power surger thing that has plenty of 'block sized' inputs so I could plug all my pedals into that and then when plugging in my pedal board just plug in the powerstrip and such.

Anyone know of a good powerstrip that would do that?

I've had one of these for around 5 years. It comes with a nice daisy chain and different extentions that will fit just about any kind of pedal. I was running a board with 5 pedals and a wah/volume (3 different manufacturers) with no problems.
 
Also keep an eye out for the Boss NS2, which is a noise gate/power supply, both very useful things in a pedal board. I think it retails for between $70-$100. I've had mine for about 13 years and its still going strong.

I've got a couple of OneSpots, and they work fine.

The 1-Spot works just fine for me.

But if you want true isolated power feeds for each device, the Voodoo Lab product is pretty good. There is one better, that has true isolation outputs on it, but I cant remember the name right now, sorry.....
 
Awright, I got the thing yesterday, works like a charm. I dig that it comes with an adapter that looks like the little cap you stick on the top of a 9V battery. If I had known I was going to get this 7 or 8 months ago I might have saved $20 and got the Russian Big Muff that supposedly battery-only instead of the USA one.

I'm seriously thinking about getting another two or three of the 5-headed daisy-chain peices just so I can put <i>all</i> of my came-with-the-pedal adapters in a box somewhere and forget about them. It says on the box that you can link a few of the 5-headed guys together without any ill effects.
 
I've been using a 1-spot to power 8 pedals for about 4 years and it works fine and hasn't broken even though I take absolutely no care of my pedal boards.
I gig 5 to 7 times a week so it's gotten a lot of use. I can't see any reason to spend more.
I believe it comes with one daisy chain cord.

You just need to kinda look at the total current requirement from all your pedals and keep it below the 1.7 amps that the 1Spot can deliver. FWIW, the breakout (daisy chain) cable is sold separately, but it's not expensive.
