if you like the sound of the amp, what could be wrong with it?

haven't heard it yet. it's a 5 watt tube amp with optical tremolo and built in attenuator, though it's a peavey and a joe satriani signature amp to boot.

Looks sweet as hell! Sucks that the price tag is so damn high though.

I have used a Peavey Classic 20 for a recording amp for 10 years-at least- and never had a single problem yet-solid amp!

Me, too. Except that about every other time I whip the power cord out from the back, the tubes come flying out with it.

Yep I recall that happening once as well-now I keep the Classic under a keyboard in the studio space where I can't really move it around. Its wedged in there so I can't move it now!

The Classic 30 I have was given to me by a friend. He had it worked on before I got it, so I don't know if it's stock now, but the tubes are held in place by little wire clips.

I highlighted the first on so you can see it-

I owned a Peavey amp years ago.

I own a newer Peavey amp.

I was a Peavey fan for years.

I'm no longer a Peavey fan.

:(

Those are tube retainers. Any amp that has the tubes hanging upside down should probably have them.
