Hello people who are smarter than me. I'm wondering if anyone can offer some insight. I've been working in the analog world, and am fed up by the limits. I want to move into the digital world. I've been looking for soundcards and for software to work with digital audio. The obstacle I face is that I have a wndows-based laptop, and so I can't use regular PCI cards. The only thing I've come across so far is the Digigram VXPocket. It works through the PCMCIA slot. Has anyone had experience with it? I'd like to know more about it before I drop $600(which is a lot for me). I've looked for something USB-driven, but have been warned that it's not a good protocol for audio (not fast enough).
