I have a delta 1010, and i use it in my PC. bonza, fantastic, arse. well, i was wondering if there is anyway for me to do remote recording with my laptop using it? you know, throw my rack which holds the 1010, compressors, 1604vlz into a car, and somehow use the PCI card which came with the 1010 in my laptop?

are we talking about a pci to pcmia adapter? i haven't found one of these yet....hell, i don't know if there is pci to usb or firewire...if there is any pci solution for a laptop i'd love to know about it too....

There is one - a box that sits underneath your laptop, fits 2 pci cards, also available with a scsi port, and then plugs in to to pcmcia slot. Price is $700 i think, to over $1000 if you have the scsi. i know there was a review of it in soundonsound. you can look at their wedsite www.sospubs.co.uk. if i remember the name i will let you know. someone on this board might have mentioned it.

There has got to be another waay!

those firewire guys have it with a coule cards. there must be a simple solution out there? $700 for what? a motherboard only costs $150 MAX. i will search even more! or make it on my own. ha. anyway, anything i come up i will be sure to post here... people will appreciate.
