Hey everyone I'm trying to do recording on my pc....I use to just use the Itegrated Sound card on my Motherboard, for playback and recording. But I decided that I wanted a more proffesional sound. So I bought an older Echo Gina 20 bit sound card off of ebay, not knowing anything about this...I thought it was just gonna be a regular soundcard....nope. It wasn't. Anyway I was Having problems with playback I was trying to Use My Intergrated Realtek ac97 for playback while using the Gina 20 for Recording. WHen I opened the Cosole for the Gina 20 and spoke into the mic. The meters were picking up activity but I heard no sound. So I wrote Echoaudio telling them of my problem and they replied...."Do you have a mixer, or a micpreamp? Cause you'll need one." AHHH! What the hell is that? I'm very noob to this and I woudl appreciate any help that I could get. If I really do need one or both of these things. Can someone please reccomend a not so expensive but decent one to me. Thanks so much

So Is there anyway to Hook my desktop speakers to the gina..there is no jack for the small (headphone) type of jack that my speakers need to plug in to. Is there some kind of adapter or something?

What kind of outputs does the Gina have? I'm not familiar with that card.

Uh I don't Know exactly what they are called i'm slowly but surely learnign this stuff. It's like those Big jacks the Mic's and Guitars plug into. Cause I can plug my guitar amp into it, and get playback. Here is a link of what the breakout box looks like HERE The actual card has a parallel, which connects the to the breakout box, and 2 of those ports like what rca cables would hook up to 1 red 1 white. THanks again for taking time out to help me.

The inputs/outputs on the front of that card are 1/4 inputs/outputs. The type of cables you need are 1/4 cables. Now if your headphones are 1/8(small) then u will need a 1/8 to 1/4 adapter. Now what you can do is connect your guitar into the LINE IN and your amp into the LINE OUT. Your amp will act as an sound source for playback. Let me know what happens. If you are still confussed then hit me up on yahoo messenger or AIM.
