Ok, this is a little strange to me. Here's the situation. I bought all the parts for my new PC. P4 2.8, 200 GB HD, 1024 MB RAM, case, etc. My uncle really enjoys building computers and is currently unemployed, so I thought it would be nice if I paid him to assemble the PC for me.
Now, it has ben over 2 weels since I gave it to him. I was wondering what was taking him so long, considering I could have built it in an afternoon! It turns out that he had plans of his own! First off, he took the top part of the case to a machine shop and had them cut a 3" hole on the top, which is where he hooked up a fan! I have no idea why he did this! The thing already had 2 fans (not including the processor fan)!
This fan shoots down onto my RAM which ideally will keep it cooler. I am very concerned whether or not this will pose a problem. Could it cause unwanted noise? Could it make things run slower? What about the fact that it is on top.. will it pull in WAY too much dust? I am very distrought about this!
