I am trying to obtain replacement belts for the Model 80 and X-15 recorders. Fostex has indicated that they do not have parts for these models or many of their other discontinued analog recorders. I have tried to get repacements from other sources with no luck. I also contaced Fostex Japan to see if I could get the specs and have PRB or some other company make some belts; Fostex was not willing to help provide specs. I have the repair manuals for these models, however they are worthless without replacement parts. Any information/help/advice on how to get belts/parts for these models would be greatly appreciated. My guitar teacher is using the Model 80 for some demo tapes and needs the backup belts.
