parts for a fostex 450 board?

anyone know where i can get parts for a fostex model 450 board. need a few pots. mid-low eq section. fostex cant help me out. thanks
 
Fostex should be able to tell you the specs of the part, or you should be able to get a service manual which does tell you the specs.
Then generic pots will surely work well.
 
thanks reg. tried fostex. no help. the pot came as a whole assembly, from what i have found, and mounts to the circut board unlike most pots. only place i found parts was out of london england. didn't want to deal with american currency. i found another 450 board at music-go-round for parts. bought it for $75. hopefully that'll keep me up and running until i retire the old dog. thanks for the reply. hoss

Are you willing to part with a few slider nobs from your "parts" mixer? I need 2 and have a friend that needs a couple more. Thanks!
 
Fostex 450 knobs

Did you have luck findings these? I know it's been over 5 yrs but thought I'd ask. I'm looking for some fader knobs for my 450. Know where I might look?

Have you tried Omeg in the U.K.? Last year I dealt with them extensively for a custom engineered pot. It was a good experience, and I got a high quality product built to my specs.

You'll need to take some measurements of the pots you want to replace. Not just the resistance but also the overall size, shaft diameter and length. It will also help to measure the spacing of the pins that solder to your PCB so you can get a part with a similar footprint.

The pots I ordered from them were dual pots with dual concentric shafts. I only ordered 50 of them and it came to something like $3.35 each.
