Well After much thought Ive decided to sell my beloved Tascam 38-8. Ive had it for darn close to a month. I got it on Ebay...But there is something wrong with the motors. I dont feel right trying to sell it back to someone on Ebay just to pass it on. So I am parting it out. Problem is...I dont know how much to charge for the parts that are good. I really dont want to end up giving out a part that is key and expensive and let someone have it for $5.00. So how do I know how much to charge? Should I just go on Ebay? They have that thing this month where you get a gallery pic and free insertion fees or something for unlimited number of auctions...
Should I do that...

What I'd personally do, is take the unit appart and offer up the parts, individually, in seperate auctions. Do a quick search on eBay and see what a similar part goes for and either do a "Buy it Now" or start the bidding at 9.99 or whatever you feel is right.

That is probably what Im gonna do. Its just that I dont want to rip myself off. Especially when setting a buy it now price. I could easily set a BIN way too high and scare people off. Or I could set it too low and let something go way too cheap.
The other thing Im not sure about is when I see some of these guys that part out machines is that they usually have on the bottom of their auction check out my other items and there is a little picture deal that scrolls slowly. I would think that would be nice to have to do what Im gonna do. But I have no idea what it is...

Set it the lowest you're willing to sell it for and also, do some research what these things are selling for. Not everything is outthere so in that case just set it the lowest you'd want to sell it for and good news is that if someone really wants it, say more than 1 person, they'll bid accordingly and set the market value for you.

I bet with some research I could tell you how to do this but on the other hand, if I were doing this, I'd write, in my description, for people to "check out my other TASCAM 38 parts" by clicking on "view seller's other items". That's probably the least complicated route.
