Part 4720981 coming soon!
The truly long-awaited part 5 is finally here. I apologize for the long wait on this one, I had been putting one out every week for a month and this one took me 3 weeks to wrap up. I had a good reason though; I was actually trying to FINISH the studio, which I’m sure you can understand. The reason for wanting to finish it up was because a reporter for a local newspaper came over to interview me about the studio and take pictures. There was a ton of work to be done before things were photo friendly, so my wife and I worked every day for two weeks straight mudding and painting and installing doors so it wouldn’t look like a construction zone anymore, but rather a real studio. Sometimes in life you need those little outside influences to push you to get work done that would normally take much longer. The reporter came and he was very impressed by what he saw, and the pictures he took looked great. So once the story runs in the paper I’ll scan some of it for everyone here so you can share in my joy.

We take a slight departure from construction in this episode, but that's only because I've got some footage from Halloween 2000 that's too funny not to share with people, and when else will I get the chance to show it to anyone? Everyone who's watched all the videos so far feel like they know us, so it's the perfect opportunity. I hope you enjoy it and don’t feel like I’m ripping you off of quality studio construction watching.

And here it is, Part 5
And in case you missed the previous episodes:
Part 1

Part 2
Part 3
Part 4

It’s always inspiring to hear of a wife or girlfriend (And conversely a boyfriend or husband) taking an active role in studio or music interests of their respective significant other, but two weeks of mudding… that’s close to saint hood! Big props to the wife for pitching in above and beyond the call of duty.

You’re a lucky lucky man. :)

I tell myself that every day. :)

As if two weeks of mudding and painting isn't enough, she's also helping me with my wedding videography business! I couldn't find a second camera man last weekend and she said she'd run the second camera for me. It turned out GREAT. Plus she took about 200 photos at the reception for misc use in the video. She totally supports me, which is a really good feeling.

Eh... I'd say she's a keeper :p

When's the next part coming out? I'm having Sonic-Clang withdrawals.

The next part may be a little while. I have a wedding video to edit, and I've got another wedding coming up this weekend. So things are going to be a little busy around the Clang household for the next few weeks.

No one has any comments on this? :(

I figured someone would be saying something about it. Maybe you all just want more studio and less of us acting stupid. :)

Enjoying it man, especially part 5 with your mate tooling about. Is the studio finished yet?

Yeah Pete is a TOTAL dork. It's great. :D He just runs with it. He grew up idolizing people on SNL and In Living Color.

The studio is about 99.99999% done. After I get a couple wedding gigs out of the way and the videos edited I'm going to make part 6, and I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if part 6 ends up spanning more than a year's time. I think the rest of the episodes will end up like that because work seriously slowed way down after halloween 2000. We'd work every couple months instead of every day. And there was literally a year somewhere in there where we didn't work one time down there.
