Thanks guys

I don't see a link to your site.
And which song in particular would you like critiqued?

Thanks Daf--- I didnt get back here quick enough to answer

We would like feedback on "Lost in TIme -Part 2"

ok Betty

Im not sure if you want mix comments or just comments in general so ill give you a little of both.
The music/vocals remind me of early marilyn manson with a heavier edge, possibly ministry, skinny puppy, something along those lines. Not really my cup of tea but it sounds like you have a solid footing for this genre.
Ok mix wise-im not listening on my monitors so take these comments for what you will. Overall everything sounds overly grainy/distorted (might be the mp3). This might be good or bad depending on what your going for, i know this style is known for lots of distortion/effects. The vocals seemed to be masking everything else. I would bring them back and let the drums/guitar fill up some more of the space. The drums as well as the guitar sounded pretty distant. Maybe try pulling some of the verb off the guitars and giving them a little more presence I couldn't hear a bass on my speakers if there was one on this track. Overall a good effort. I hope my comments help.

It does have kind of a Marilyn Manson sound to it.

A bit monotonous. I kept waiting for the changeover where the music breaks into a less-distorted but heavy-guitar sound and the vocals were more clear but maybe screaming and the drums and bass came out of the background and thumped a little...

Hmm....

Maybe not what you were going for, but it'd have been cool, I think.

My $0.02...for what it's worth (grain of salt).

Thanks for the imput!! I am gonna print this out for MAtt, as he is does the mixin and stuff. Getting help from the ones with more knowledge really helps us out!

WE are real pleased to get the mention Of MArilyn!!

we have been struggeling with that damn drum machine-- We have the 788 figured out and Matt has been working with musical devices for years but for some reason that simple little box is the hardest for us to figure out-- as in makin breakdowns and fills with the drums. It is really quite frusterating!! We are looking for a drummer-- untill then either we use the drum machine or I come up with beats on the keyboard---

Thank you much for taking the time!!!
