Hi, I´m building a studio based on a Tascam 388 1/4 reel to reel and PC with INCA 88 8 in/out soundcard with Cubase. As I´m kind of used to the 3 band fully sweepable parametric equalizers on the Tascam 388, I´m looking for their "digital twin!!" in the vst plugin world, for the reason that I´m mostly doing the editing in the computer.
Is there any parametric equalizers (with sweepable knobs, 3 band) that also supports midi assignable buttons, so I can use my control surface to tweak the sound with my ears instead of starring at a monitor screen???
Of corse I can work with more bands than just 3, but fewer options is sometimes better.
I´m interested in any tips on plugins, but I´m hoping to find one not TO expensive.
Thank you and have a great day
/H

You can assign anything to do anything in cubase. Read up on how to set up a "generic remote".

thanxs

..for the answer....But the manual don´t say anything about how to control any plugins of your own choice,, for example, Mellowmuse EQ1A,,,,just how to control cubase itself, as I managed to do....?????? How Do I do that??
thank you...

if the plugin is active, it will show up as an available control in the remoter setup

thanxs a bunch

actually,,I looked closer in the device manager setup and was able to find out how to assign my control surface to the EQ plugin. Worked very smooth.

Still there some things I´ll have to find out.

How do I select specified min and max values for each parameters?
and...
Is it possible to save an assign schematic (xlm) for one specific plugin, and use it on several tracks??
In my case, I have assigned my control surface to parameters in an EQ plug, I want to be able to use the very same EQ plug as an insert on EVERY SINGLE track channel, and when I turn my harware knobs they will only affect the SELECTED track channels insert EQ plugin.
Does this make any sence??
thank you for any advice...

solved the problem

actually I figured out how to do this,,, cubase is really amazing...
