Hi, everyone.
I'm sorry if this question had been asked already, but ...
I'm trying to mix down a track with doubled backing vocals and main vocal. They are using the same frequency range, so there is a slight overdub and I can't make both types of vocal to sound clear (+ there is a slight overdrive effect on them).
I pan backing vocals right and left (+/- 64 in Logic 9), but they are too wide, so they cross with main vocal, that is too wide, too.
The result is the following - solo'ed backing tracks sound like they are using center space that is left for main vocals.
How can I limit them in panorama, to make them a little bit narrower and to free center space for main vocals.
P.S. Sorry for my English, it's caused by a lack of practice
