I have a guitar track that is about 3 minutes long. I played it just perfect so I would like to keep it. But I would like to make a ~30 sec portion of it pan to the right , while leaving the rest of it a perfect 50/50 balance. What is the easiest way to go about this?

Pop a panning envelope over the track and place a few nodes at the point you want to pan to whatever side and , well, pan it.

Hmm... it would be nice if I could actually export panned material.

You can. If you render it as a stereo track. That way it will preserve any panning.

Track Rat, read his other thread. This guy is clueless. His problem is not a lack of panning. As best as I can tell, when he exports a file he gets a file that only plays from one speaker.

Anyone who has spent any time here already knows the effort I put into trying to help people out. So I don't really think I need to justify myself to you. However, in this particular case the clueless description fits.

The guy posts a thread that about having difficulty panning. Then it turns out that's not his problem at all, and when informed of that he still doesn't seem to get it.

Then he posts in another thread (this one) that he sure wishes he could fix his panning problems. So Track Rat gives him the same advice as moskus and I gave him in his original thread. Which would be the correct answer, IF this was his problem.

I dunno, maybe it's a problem with the English language - in which case I stand corrected. Where is midlands anyway?

Just between the Highlands and the Lowlands.:D

He should get that SONAR POWER book by that know-it-all guy. Even though it will only take you so far, it can become a handy resource on the fly. Its easier to read than to type and read.

I didn't realize he had posted elsewhere and wasn't taking the FREE advice.

My bad.

If it looks like warez and it smells like warez and it sounds like warez and it tastes like warez.......

.........then he may have just mislaid his manual during a recent move......

;) Q.

Hey! I've done this!

But I know where it is. So if I want to I could get it. :)
But if someone else says that, I'm not believing them...

Hmmm... I need to get in a better mood today. Somebody ask for a PDF-version of the manual! :D

HEy , i was wondering whether someone already made SOnar 3.0 available on Kazaa...
