i just one a pair of PAISTE SIGNATURE SERIES DARK CRISP 13” HI HATS on ebay for 215

that means i saved 135 dollars

what do you guys think about these cymbals?

good for blues?

I've never tried the 13" ones... I prefer 14" hats. But the 14" Dark Crisps I tried were INCREDIBLE. I love those hi hats. I really wanna get a cable hi hat stand and put a pair of dark crisps on the right side of my kit (my 14" signature sound edge are my primary hats). But all in all, I think you did very well. Good luck with the new hi hats... make sure to tell me what you think of them.

Stunning Hats mate, really are amazing.

But why are you talking in dollars? Thought you were a british dude like me?

i scored a pretty cool set of hats a while back for $120....14" Zildjian A Custom Mastersound bottom, with A Mastersound Top. perfect condition too, and they sound sweet to me for the price, but then again i'm no drum expert. ;)

sounds like you got a great deal Nick, you plan on recording with em soon?

All the Paiste Signatures I've played have been awesomely cool. Shame I can't afford any of them ...

thanks guys for all the feedback

I'm waiting for some money (in two months) then I'm gonna go for it. I think I'll buy a slightly used kit for around $800 and then get the paiste 2002's 14" hats, 16 or 18 crash and a 22 or 24 ride. Then add as I can.

what does everyone think about a 16" Signature Full Crash

should i get one ..... how do they sound?

They Do

i really hope the 13" sound good

I bought a pair of these a couple years back at my local music store. They were used and it was during a huge yearly sale they do as an invite-only thing, so I got them pretty cheap, but can't remember exactly how much. Anyways I've loved these hats for a long time and haven't played any others that come close to their sound. Great catch.

Well, I am not really a fan of 16" crash cymbals, but if you like them - the full crash will sound great. I always thought that 16" crashes were either a little too small in diameter, or a little too thick to suit my tastes. (that is, unless it is a very thin cymbal) I had a 16" Full crash that I bought used from a music store for $75 in 1992, and it sounded really good - so good that I was able to sell it used for $120 to a guy who thought it was the best sounding cymbal he'd ever heard. :D
I used it just as a "clutch" cymbal (you know, where you strike it and choke off the strike.)

He offered me the money at bandpractice, and when I said okay - he pulled his wallet out and paid for it in full right there.

So yeah, if you can get one used, and you like 16" cymbals, and the price, go for it.

Man you think that you got a good deal on those hats.... let me tell you a good deal. My friend bought a drum set from a guy. It was an old Rogers set. It came with the bass, snare, two rack toms, two floor toms, three roto toms, chimes, hi hat, two crashs, one splash, and a heavy ride. AND all of those cymbals are paiste 2002s. It also came with heavy duty hardware for everything..... guess how much he paid

only $500!!!!!!!!!!!

can you believe it!
