Owl City - Good Time Cover

Here is another project I'm right in the middle of. This song features some 6th graders from the elementary school in town (fits in the children's choir section of the original song towards the end). Let me know what needs fixing!. Thanks a lot!

Sounds alright, but the vocals are a bit too loud. They sound like they're on top of the track instead of in it to me. I'd bring them down and then use eq to mix them in with the rest of the band. The stuff behind the vocals sound good, but it's hard to hear it.
 
Thanks for your input. I've uploaded a new MP3 with a TON of changes. Let me know what you think of this one.
 
On the chorus from 1.07 - 1.19, maybe try cutting the female vocal a bit - she sort of predominates a bit right now. I think the vocal levels are about right, but it might be time for some glue of some sort or another. If you added certain kinds of verb to the vocals, I think they might step back a bit and blend into the backing bed a bit.

If those two singers are in elementary school, they're very precocious. ;)
 
lol, nooooo. The chorus of kids during the last chorus are the elementary students. The two singers are adults, lol. I'll take a look at the vocal part in that section. I do have a very small amount of verb on it right now. In the past, I've found myself going a bit over board on verb, so now I tend to hold back on it. Maybe i'll bump up the wet level on the verb a couple of db. Thanks for checking it out!

The main vox is is not good enough. The song is really good. I hope that's okay to say it but vox don't suit this number. The mixing of the song elsewhere is very good.
