ow much electricity does it take to run...

I leave my computer on 24/7. I have the monitors and hard drives set up to shut down after 5 minutes of being idle. After that, it is just the cpu and power supply fans running.

Anybody have any idea how much electricity these draw? I need some specifics.

Also, I leave a wireless router and cable modem on. How much does these draw (ball part KW hours within +/- 10% would be fine).

Next, I have a Hafler P3000 amp. What does this draw? Does it draw more while audio runs through it or under heavy loads? Mostly, it sits idle, but it takes like 2 hours to warm up to "specs" so I don't really like shutting it off.

You can always use this its not that expensive 30 bucks US and will do the job with no guess work and you can also work out how much its costing you for the above.

Great for working out load requiments for a solar powered homes.

If everything is on idle it should draw around 60 watts or less of power. On a full load I beleive 300 watts is the max plus the monitor 100 watts. I have a mid tower with a 17 inch Lcd, small computer speakers, two HD, P4, cd-burner, dvd and I'm using 97 watts as I write this. It really depends on what is on your system. The monitor is what uses up the most. I plugged in a 17 inch CRT monitor and I'm now using 146 watts. Hope this helps a little.

Heat will also plays a role. the more heat the more A/C usage. with all my stuff on the room can get pretty warm to the point where Im sweating. heck even in the winter it gets warm and I have the vent shut.
