Overlapping loops

This might seem stupid but I'm using a loop that was created in Fruity Loops. It has a crash at the end of the loops that fades a bit. When i use this in Adobe Audition the loops doesn't loop properly unless I cut off the fade. Is there a way to make to loop overlap so that the crash's fade stays but the loop starts to play again on time?

Could you cut the cymbal off of that loop and put it on a different track?

Well I could do that but then I have to do that every time the loop loops. That would be tedious. It's like the loop is, let's say, 2.5 secs. I want the loop to start over at the 2 seconds mark and the last .5 secs of the loop to oerlap the first .5 secs of the loop. Where the last .5 secs is the crash fading out.

You could A/B the loop, ie alternate it back and forth over 2 tracks in a checkerboard pattern.

I'm pretty sure you should be able to do this in FL... I'm a Reason person, myself..

In reason, you have control over the type of triggering... One way triggers the sample for the duration of the piano roll note... The other only triggers and fades for the length of the sample..

Of course, theres also the whole issue of "release" parameters....

it sounds like you are exporting the simple beat, but you need to export the whole song, or song segment for it to work properly in this case

that crash sounds like its not ending at before the last beat of the loop, which is ok, but when you render just one round of the pattern instead of the song, it will be longer, and wont over lap the way it should ... the way its working now.

what you need to do, is set up your loop in FL (Fruity Loops) the way you want it, and then use the "playlist" function in FL to build your song the way you want it, then export it. the way that FL works, even if the loop doesnt end before the last beat of the pattern, it will automaticaly overlap it on the next round of the loop, so it all works out like you want it to.

lemme know if it helps

Indeed, I have found your suggestion to be most useful. This creates somewhat of an irony with your name king_of_fools, though. I really would rather Audition to be smart enough to handle the loop the way I wanted, but alas, one goal and many roads. Thanks King.
