Hi, I am using Firewire 1814 with Adobe Audition and I'm running into a problem when doing overdubs. When I plug my keyboard directly into the 1814, I can't monitor the new track I'm recording as I'm recording it. I can hear everything I've recorded previously, but that's all. Is there any way around this? Thanks for the help.

Not sure if this is the exact problem, but in your Audition "Options" menu, select "Device Order". Take a look at both the Playback and the Recording tabs and make sure both the driver for the 1814 and the "WAV Mapper" (or your equivalent WAV device) are both selected for both tabs. I don't remember how the order in which they appear matters here, but I have my sound device first and the mapper second.

HTH,

G.

AFAIK Audition does not allow low latency monitoring of the incoming signal, your best bet would be using the mixer applet for the 1814 to "foldback" a direct (dry) input monitor signal into the output mix.
