When micing acoustic instrument with one mic in front and one over the shoulder, is the 3:1 rule critical for phase issues? Also, how do most of you end up panning this type of setup? or do you? Maybe just mix one in with the other for more or less of that particular flavor? BTW, this is a solo application. No concern about how it sits in a mix, etc.
