Hi. Could someone help me on this one? I´ve got a phonic firefly 202 usb audio interface. It has 2 input and 2 output. They all are balanced and line level. I want to record electric guitar through a Digitech RP 55 (I dont have it yet) without an amp. Is the output of digitech RP 55,line level? Will it work ok? Thankx in advance.

I believe the output is "instrument level" so it can go directly into a standard guitar amp.

This would be somewhat lower than standard line level but you can usually get away with it into a line input.

If the inputs are line level there will be an impedance mismatch which will cause some frequency rolloff, usually resulting in a SLIGHTLY band-passed sound but it shouldn't be catastrophic. You should be able to make up the gain if your interface has an input gain control.

Looking at the features, it says that it's aimed at songwriters wanting to record guitar, so I'm sure you'll be ok.

Cheers :)
