output extension? exist? help...

Hey, i am looking for a 1/4 plug output extension..does something like this exist? (see my drawing below)

That drawing is too sexually explicit, i'll never look at connecting up gear in the same way again.

You can buy female - female socket, signal splitters etc, it would be more cost effective if you went down this road.
