outboard gear and motu

Is the a simple explaination for this. I have Sonar, Motu MKIII. I want to be able to use outboard gear through Motu. There are 8 analod ins and outs. I can't find my manual and even if I could...I hate to read them

I'm running a TCElectronic M300 on the S/PDIF. Just a matter of setting up the busses.
You can get a pdf manual from the website.
