Other drums

I use a single large diaphram condenser about 2 to 3 feet above the drum, and out about 1 foot. I think a large or medium diaphram condenser picks up the bass frequencies better than a small diaphram. I often roll off some of the bass with a high-pass filter or EQ while tracking.

OK

How about more than a couple djembes (about 5) and Djuns (the bass drums accomanied with bells) ? It's a small troupe who wants to get some stuff on CD.

I have the Digi001 and PTLE
KRK Rokit monitors
an Akg C2000B
a smaller Audio-technica pro4L (unidirectional)
An even smaller electro-voice 635A (Dynamic omnidirectional)
and two of those clip on mics (like on the talk shows):(

I know it's not much to go on, but I'm planning to rent some mics from Mars or someother place.

What are some good condensers to look for when I go to rent?
How many?

Can I use any of the mics I previously mentioned for this project?

Thanks in advance for any help
