OSX Mountain Lion compatibility

Hello everyone,

I'm a completely fresh, virginal newbie here, so my apologies if this post should be somewhere else. I'm new to forums altogether, to be honest.

The question I have is this: I'm going over to the dark side - I've got an iMac on order. I've got a trusty old Steinberg MI4 audio/MIDI interface that has served me wonderfully over the years, but I get the impression that I'm going to have compatibility issues with OSX Mounatin Lion.

I'm at pains to invest in any more new gear just yet, as I have a wife who is already very understanding about the purchase of the iMac (!).

Does anyone know if I'm going to have problems? If so, any suggestions?

I'd give it a few hours or even days before getting worries about having no answers. You're asking a very specific question, so not many people will know the answer. Plus everyone's at work and/or dotted all around the world in different time zones. In the meantime, a little Googling wouldn't hurt, which reveals this: -

Dunno if that helps - I can't see your particular item is listed, but guess it might be included in one of the series in the hardware section. Also, I'd give the Steinberg forums a try.

Fair point. Thanks for the link, too. I have done some Googling, but to no avail. The MI4 is very old now, I suppose, hence the lack of info about it.

Fingers crossed for a stalwart MI4 owner with a Mac!

If you have a Mac you are doing the opposite and seeing the light ;-)
