Here's another new original song that I recently recorded. When I was growing up, one of my major influences was Simon and Garfunkel and this recording is sort of a tribute to them. I hope you guys enjoy it and as always any constructive criticism is appreciated.

hi, sounds like a little too much reverb for my taste. also the kindof whisper singing doesnt reeealy appeal to me, but lots of good ideas in the song.
did you mic up the guitar atall, or is it only being picked up by your vocal mic? if it is miked, maybe adjust the levels abit. bring down the vocals, bring up the guitar.?

Yes, the guitar was miced with a small diaphragm condenser. I agree with you on the reverb but I was sort of going for the 60s acoustic feel. In hindsight maybe I should of cut some of the muddiness from the ac guitar so I could add il more clarity.

Eddie,

Very creative video. Love the boxes showing the different guitar parts. Love the mix of color and B/W. Superb playing. The guitar has a really nice tone, what is it? I don't mind all the reverb on the vocals, it fits with the performance. You could certainly get by with less, but I don't think it's overdone by any means other than personal taste. The vocals are captured well, and I don't mind the delivery. I think it sounds great for this type of song. Thanks for sharing.

I like it overall. I'd take some reverb off the guitar. Is the reverb muddying the guitar, or is it like that at the source. It's not too bad, could just use a little clarity.

Nice tune. Nice recording.

I'm not really much of a one for religious songs, but your singing and guitar playing just look effortless and sound great. Makes it easy to keep the mixes simple with good raw materials!

Wow...just wow. I can't believe I almost missed this one--just seeing it made my day.

Of the music: I thought it was perfect; I read the comments first and was expecting a swimming pool of reverb. Nope. Just right. Totally fit the sound you were going for.

Of the message: just what I needed to hear. Simple truth, from the heart, not sappy or preachy.

I hope to see and hear more from you dude!
