To you punk fans out there:

I wrote and recorded this the other day and would love to get your thoughts on the mix. I have a few issues with it but I don’t want to sway your opinions. Thanks!

Nice clean mix .. It reminded me of some "Cake" music , especially the driving rythem guitar and the vocals. I like the energy in this ! Enjoyed the listen .. mark

Thanks for the compliments!
I only know the one Cake song…I’ll have to dig deeper into their stuff.

The intro is cool.

Vocal delivery is really nice. I like the harmonies. I'd nudge up the lead level just a bit. And I guess I'd also nudge up the harmony vocals too.

Main rhythm guitars have, for me, just a bit too much gain/distortion dialed in.

Bass sounds good. Nice level on it.

Drums sound OK. I'd like a little more snap/crack to the snare.

All great suggestions, thanks!

Looks like you’re in Chicago. A ton of my influences are from Chicago. Screeching Weasel, Riverdales, Methadones, Rise Against, nice!
