I am willing to buy an orechestra sample pack. I'm considering more than most the Garriton's Personal Orchestra.. What do you think? What samplerate and bitrate are the samples provided?

Another one in my list is the East West Silver edition and the new MOTU symphonic instrument.. any comments on that products?

Is it good investment these sound libraries, or should I buy a more expensive package (like the East West Gold edition), if thats your opinion, what do you recomend?

Thank you for your time and help, in advance...

Just to make sure in case you haven't heard, there's currently a group buy on the Garritan:

For $139 it's kind of a no-brainer, as certainly there will be something in there to use. Then later you can add other orchestra libs as well. I've not found any one orchestra sample set to have everything, I still mix and match from different libraries.

Thanx for the reply and for the info.. certenly for 139 is only one way to go.. ;)

anyway, i would like to receive any comments for other libreries and if someone know at what sample rate are the samples provided...

thaxn

I'm pretty sure the samples are at 16 bit/44.1.

I should also mention that the Quantum Leap Silver version is also on sale these days, for $145. A good time to get into one of these libs.

i work at 24/96 these days, i guess that I will not be able to run the plug in at cubase when i'm recording.. i'd have to import the clips later and resample them to 24/96.. is that true?

thanx

I'd suggest you contact Garriton and ask that question directly. If you go to the web site I linked to above you'll see a "contact" link.

That said, even if it does work at 24/96, blowing your samples up to 24/96 will put a huge strain on your CPU.

ok Albert, thank you for your help... i really appreciate it...
