hello

i'm am trying to achieve 12 channels of analog mixing (on 2 lovely akai MG614's for those who might care)

i have a Motu 828 mk3 set up as my main audio interface - of which i use 6 outputs to the mixers, works fine

temporarily i'm able to use a Tascam FW 1884, which should offer me up to 8 more outputs through ADAT (i would only need six)

the tascam receives every track i send from my DAW just fine, but the problem is that it only outputs them as a stereo feed to channels 1 and 2

it seems impossible to feed any tracks from tascam's outputs 3 to 8 individually to my analog mixer

i connected these devices:
- optically using 2 cables - optical out to in, in to out
- with Firewire, the motu directly to my computer, with the tascam daisychained onto it (i don't mind using the tascam as a control surface, but i don't want to mix on it)

any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you

oops, already solved this myself!

i aggregated the motu and the tascam by using the Audio Midi Setup in MacOsX, thus creating a new audio controller

no need for optical connection in my case even!
