Optical to Firewire converter???

Hi all,
I have an old Korg D8 and want to get a reasonable sound into my wifes PC for burning to CD. The Korg only has analogue, scssi and optical outs. Is there such a beast as a converter or some-such that will allow me to get tracks in via firewire? The pc has only inbuilt sound and I really can't spring for a new soundcard right now.

If you can't buy a new soundcard, you won't be able to use the optical outputs.
 
ok,
the Korg has the optical outputs and I need to get into a computer with no real soundcard, only the inbuilt sound and usb.

This CAN NOT BE DONE without a new soundcard or a digital to analog converter which will more than likely cost more than a new soundcard.

Why are there no cheap, easy solutions when it comes to audio?!?!
... someone is making the big bucks!
