Hey everybody...

Here's another track in the process of mixing.
I would love to get some feedback on levels etc.
Definitely a tricky one to mix, as it starts out like a Neil Young sort of folky song and progresses to epic proportions. Give it some time, it really gets going around 2:30 I think...

The song is about a landslide in the town of Frank, Alberta in 1903. )more info on the Frank Slide here: http://www3.sympatico.ca/goweezer/canada/frank.htm )

The song is a 320 kpbs mp3 mixed down from Nuendo.

Thanks for any and all feedback

Nice tune, man and great voice, reminds me of Scott Stapp (big Creed fan, here..) Nice arrangement, mix has very nice big bottoms. My kinda music, love it, more please!

Holy crap, nice song. There seems to be a slight overcrispness to the whole thing, especially in the vocals.

Also, the drums seem to stick out a bit too much when they are doing the fills before the other stuff comes in. I think the kick and toms have an a bit too much of a close mic'd feel, especially the toms.

I'm surprised more people aren't commenting on this song. It's one of the better songs I've heard on here.

Good tune. Vocals are great. I think the drum fills could be a slightly more 'roomy'

Thanks guys! I agree about the drum fills, maybe I'll crank the reverb a bit on that part...

I dig this tune, especially when it kicks in at the 02:37 mark. I like how it slides back down at the 03:03 mark.

From a mixing standpoint, the kick is a bit over the top for me. Especially in the soft part at 01:51. Could probably calm it down a bit there. I'd like to hear something with a bit less thwack and more body for this tune. I think the snare could use a slight boost, too. Probably 1 db or 2.

Other than that, I'm digging. Good tune.
