I'm thinking of buying a DEQ-230D for my guitar rack (but it might get some recording use too). I'm mainly interested in it because of the MIDI control (WHY is that not standard on the DEQ-230?), but the digital out might be handy.
My rack is: Alesis 3630 (hah!) into Marshall JMP-1, Alesis Quadraverb GT in the effects loop, feeding an EL84 20/20 valve amp into a 2x12 cab.
Anyone got a 230-D? What do you think, especially regarding noise floor, clicks & pops when changing program, MIDI implementation, etc.?
