Hi there.

I'm new to this forum, though I've been meaning to join it for a while. I spend a lot of my time recording music, and as a complete amateur with no formal training who obsesses over doing so, I think a community like this might be a good fit. Especially when it comes to questions like the following:

I have this mixer. It's a Biamp 12 28, and I really like the sound of it. I picked it up off Ebay a few years ago for less than $100, and I've never seen another since. It's a twelve channel, eight bus board, and besides the manual for the board, I cannot find any information at all about it. Am I the only person in the world still using one of these things? Does anyone have any fond/horrible memories of having used one? I've had considerable success with it, so I would think there has to be someone out there who has, also. Maybe not, though. I guess it can't hurt to ask and see if anyone here is familiar with it.

Thanks!

Probably, yes. It's terribly outdated...

Haha. I mean, based on the overwhelming response here, not to mention all the results from the countless search engine inquiries I've made, I'm going to assume you're right on the money.

By the way, small world: You have a bit on your webpage about tracking too hot, and why you should not do so that changed my life a few years ago when I discovered it. Weird that my first interaction on this forum would be with you. Thank you very much for that.

If anyone else has ever heard of this board, and/or has any information to contribute, it would be vastly appreciated. Thank ya! :)
