I also played all guitars. Vocals, drums are bass were recorded by friends of mine. The vocals are in spanish, just in case you are thinking "WFT is this guy singing" lol

Feel free to post your opinions or questions about the recording
I hope you like it

That's am awesome recording, man. And a great song. Can I ask you how you recorded the drums, how many mics, etc...Awesome.

Hi

Very nice and wide production. Maybe you could reduce the volume on the cymbals a bit. I like everything; Guitars, bass, keyboards, drums and vocals.

Nice work,

Jack Real.

awesome, i wish it was english singing though. but awesome anyway

Very good recording. Guitar sounds are great. Even with the vocals in Spanish, and I don't understand much Spanish, they fit the song well, and are sung very good. Your friend has a great voice.

thanks for you comments guys!

Drums were recording using a 112 for kick drum, a b2 pro for snare (top), sm57 (top), sm57 (bottom), some dynamic mikes for toms that i dont remember which ones, sm81 for cymbalas and a couple of condenser for room.

Guitars are tube head amp thru a sm57.
Bass is direct.

Vocals I used an Oktava MKL2500 tube mike through a dolby system 361-A using the "dolby effect" to bring highs up (like deff leppard)

and thats about it. The strings are Edirol Orchestral.

Everything into my Edirol FA101 soundcard.
I mixed on Cubase SX2.3 and a lot of different plugins: Waves, Blue Tubes, etc.

Excellent recording! Good writing and arranging - I usually cringe when I hear synth strings but they're well done here and mesh just right with the guitar sound. Drums are fantastic. The vocals sound a bit over compressed to me. Hot guitar line at 3:50. Dramatic tune.

Wow, I'm really impressed with the quality of the recording. Sounds professional. The intro can't help but remind me of a video game with that synth. Nothing wrong with that. I like the vocals too. I don't know spanish but I'm one of those people who usually doesn't listen to the words in a song anyway, just the sound of the vocals... I don't have the best speakers, but on my speakers the cymbal sticks out over the mix a bit much... the synth in the break and the slow solo rocks. Great work, great recording!

I already commented on this and I do love it. I have to say, though, that I do find it al little over-compressed. I'm only saying that after listening a few times. It just seems that EVERYTHING is in your face. Not that there's anything wrong with that...and not that I can even come close to getting my songs to sound that good. But it just seems that you sacrificed feel and dynamics for volume. I wouldn't be surprised if this song clocks in at at louder than -9db. Besides that, like I said, it's an awesome production, a great song, and an impressive performance.

sounds excellent, my only comment would be that it sounds a little thin.
but very clean.
