P4 windows 2k sonar 2.2xl using usb 2.0 with a tascam us428.
have all the latest updates.
some projects freez when opening and then cause the following PC error
DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL and it references the us428.sys file
Reloaded the us428 driver still having issues.
have used win 2k and us428 for the past year...
ive noticed that most of the projects I have problems with are using the DXI rack ....

Help I cant open my latest projects ......and I dont want to have to start over......

thinking of getting rid of the us428 and buying a better soud card/controller....I hear usb sound cards are not the way to go.....

HELP!!!!!!

Welcome to the board :)

Try open the project while pressing the Shift key.

That happened to me when my NIC and soundcard was sharing the same IRQ-adress. Try to re-organize your IRQs.

Are you running in ACPI-mode? In Win2k ACPI works, but it's not great. Maybe you're better off in "Standard PC"-mode? Either that or upgrade to WinXP, since ACPI works so much better in WinXP than with Win2k.

I havent had a chance to try this yet ...what does it do?
