Opening a VST with Nuendo?

I'm new to recording, and am trying to open a VST with Steinberg Nuendo. Would anyone happen to know how I can do this? Thanks so much. Sorry if this is a stupid question.

I think $800 is for the academic version. Full retail is like $1800.

But to your problem... Make sure you've got your Steinberg key plugged all the way in. I've heard VST's get locked out if it's not plugged in.
