Hustle Magic!! We Got It.
SUp fam.. I been thinking about getting one..since it can clone any gear and all production and recordings can be done on it..

has anyone looked into the Open Labs series of equipment?

It was partially designed by the mentor of one of our HR fam - he should be around to answer in a bit.

You realize that they are just cleverly packaged PCs running the exact same software right? There is nothing available for Miko that isnt available for any windows box

Except its all in one box... and its mobile..i don't think you will want to up root your pc to take with you to record on location..

yes I have read the specs on it.. so I'm aware of the OP system..

Mr James Dumaine was one f the designers of that box Used it plenty of times, great machine-all-in-one. good routing capabilities & mimik works great. I rather lug that thing around than like bk said, the pc & xtras. If you call them, you can get one customized. OpenLabs' quite solid.

good looking on the reply..I will think hard about it while Im on deployment...

might just be the upgrade I need to complete my production suite...

Is that the same thing Polow Da Don uses, I remember seeing him using something like this in a video

over 25 GB of sounds already installed..(thats 22,000+ presets)

that pretty much every sound you cna think of ove the last 10 years...

Imma try and check one out the week or this weekend

They dont happen to sell those at Sam Ash or Guitar Center do they?

i used to feel that way but the version of windows is optimized to just run music apps and it really shows when u look at how many resources it takes up. Its not a bad device at all. Id still rather just use a laptop but i can see why people would want it

I am not say that it is a bad device at all, but it is worth mentioning. Plus I dont know how portable something that weighs in at 50 lbs..

yeah if u want something portable try the Niko. There are a few videos floating around at futureproducers that I saw that totally changed my mind on it. Because last week as far as I was concerned it was just an overpriced laptop with a keyboard attached.

TO CLEAR ALL THE CONFUSION. THE MIKO IS ABOUT 28 TO 35 DEPENDING ON HOW MANY HARD DRIVES YOU HAVE IN IT. IT IS VERY PORTABLE.I TRAVEL ACROSS COUNTRY WITH IT AT LEAST ONCE A MONTH WITH NO PROBLEMS. ITS NOT JUS A LAPTOP WITH A KEYBOARD ATTACHED TO IT. I OWN A STUDIO THAT "HAD" 16 KEYBOARDS IN IT BUT SINCE I GOT THE OPEN LABS PRODUCT I ONLY NEED THE ONE. I MIMIKED ALL THE KEYBOARDS INTO MY MIKO. EVERY SOUND, TONE, AND EVEN AFTERTOUCH IS EXACTLY THE SAME. SO STARTING AT $3699 NOTHING CAN BEAT THAT. I HAVE SPENT THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS ON ALL OF THE OTHER PRODUCTS BUT HAVE NO NEED FOR THEM NOW. I AHVE BEEN MAKING MUSIC FOR A LONG TIME AND HAVE NOT COME ACCROSS ANYTHING LIKE THIS BEFORE. SAM ASH IN HOLLYWOOD HAS A MIKO $3699 AND A NEKO $5499 LEFTYOU CAN ASK FOR HECTOR IN PRO AUDIO 1-323-850-1050. YOU WILL NOT FIND THEM ANYWHERE ELSE UNTIL THE LAST WEEK OF APRIL. THEY ARE ON BACK ORDER BECAUSE OF HIGH DEMAND AND ARE MADE BY HAND. THE ONLY PROBLEM I HAVE WITH MY MIKO IS IS THAT IT HAS SO MANY SOUNDS IN IT I MAKE SOMETHING NEW AND FIND SOMETHING NEW. IT WILL TAKE YOU AT LEAST 4-6 MONTHS TO HEAR ALL OF THE SOUNDS IN IT.

ANY MORE QUESTIONS PLEASE EMAIL ME AT Ahmedreed22@aim.com
