Hi there MIDI peeps,
I've resigned myself to the fact that I'm gonna stay on Windows 98 for recording for at least another couple of years.
This is due to my soundcard (Maxi Studio ISIS) doing everything I want bar decent MIDI support so I've picked up a 2nd hand Opcode Studio 64x for £50 (or $71.79 for my US friends).
For those that don't know: It's a 1U 4in 6out MIDI interface compatible with PC and MAC via serial cable. I was warned by various websites when I bought it that 'it doesn't work with NT or XP' but this is no worry for me being stuck with the ISIS in 98 land.
So, does this sound like a bargain to anybody? Can anybody recommend any other kit that only works in Windows 98, hence I might be able to get dirt cheap because everyone is following the upgrade path to Bill Gate's Garden?
Cheers,
Rich.
