I think I've decided that I'm going to incorporate my laptop into my "studio" by using it to do my sequencing. I have a roland 840 and keyboard and I need software that will slave to the roland (midi clock has worked fine in the past).
are there any good sequencing programs that don't do audio too so i could get the best bang for the buck? should i just get something like cakewalk or cubase and just not use it's audio capabilities. that seems like such a waste.
i'm pretty sure that audio recording is out for my computer since USB is my only option. the interupt request thingy will probably not allow me to use the tascam us428 or the roland u8....
thanks
