Does anybody know any websites that carry rigid fiberglass and can ship them? I need it for my home studio. Do you know if there are any dealers in New Jersey? Please help me find one with a good prices.

I know of one in New Jersey. What part of the state are you in? The place to but the fiberglass is in Elizebeth near Newark Airport. If you know the area I can give you easy directions. I paid $85.44 + tax for 96 sq feet.

The name of the place would be great! Maybe a hint? Sounds like....? :p

What panels did you get? OC 703s? 1"?

Check the "Sticky" thread. Amerisafe in Aurora IL, delivers. I think there's a couple more in that thread that deliver.

Sorry about that. I had to find where I put the address. The place is SPI.

I got OC 703 2". All I did was cover them with muslin. No frames. I glued a thin strip of wood to the back and hung them like pictures. The two I put on the celing I used cup hooks. In the corners I took Ethan's advice and put two together to make 4". The panels are 2'X4', so 96 sq feet is 12 panels. I know 12 may not be enough but there is a dramatic difference in the sound of my room.

Elizabeth... wow... just up the darn street (I'm in Colonia).

Excellent!

I can pass there on the way home and pick them up as I need them.

I just got back from Walmart and checked out the fabric. Lots of nice styles that should be "wife approved" !

BTW, Fredric I'm in Edison! Have any gear that you want to give away or sell cheap? :D

I picked up a case the other day. Just make a right at LOOKERS...then another right then another. Easy as pie to get there!

3% sales tax is cool too.

Ok I've read about "muslin" in several places, but I have no idea what the hell it is. Could someone please explain?

Cotton fabric. What most bed sheets are made of.

Oh... ok thanks. I guess y'all are used to that because you've heard it a lot, but that's one of those words to me that doesn't sound at all like what it describes. I was expecting some kind of puddy-type thing ... or something.

The only problem with ordering 703 online is that a bale of 703 is so large that it requires UPS oversize rates...so you wind up paying almost as much for shipping as the stuff.
