I will soon be buying my first LDC (FINALLY!). Of course I plan on going up to the local recording store and going through the lot, following Mr. Gersts testing techniques.
I don't think I can afford more than $200 or so total, thus limiting my options.
But I was just wondering what most of you would do in this situation. Would you rather have 1 versatile mic (ala C1) or 2 different mics that compliment and contrast eachother (such as the B1 and V67).
I'm leaning towards the latter. Your thoughts?
I'm pretty much set on SDC's and dynamics.
