Hi there,

I recently finished work on my cover of Finger Eleven's "One Thing". I like it overall, but wanted to get some suggestions for improvement. I've listened to it so many times that I'm afraid I'm becoming numb to the sound. I think it may be a bit muddy though, but I can't tell anymore! Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

That's pretty nice.

I would like to hear the vocals have a little more air about them. Seems to be lacking in the highs just a bit. Could just be me too.

Are the drums supposed to sound way off in the distance like that?

Hawg,

That's what I mean....I really need some help with EQ'ing. I've messed around with it and just end up making it really sound like crap. I need some solid instruction in equalization to bring everything together. I was going for a boomy distant effect on the drums, but maybe too much?

The drums are ok if that was your intent.

I would just a couple db somewhere up around 6-8k. Not much, just a smidge. You'll have to experiment.
