Taking the slow road
I swapped the 2 991's with eachother so it's not the cable or the pre. It has a swoosh up about -41 to -24 db whereas the other 991 is only down around -66 to -42, usually pretty low. I'm still using it for loud source, but I have to do something. Call mxl? I think it's been under a year since I got it. got them from gc w/ the 990. Really nice spaced pair for acoustic guitar.
