One mic to rule them all?

sorry if this is dumb but does anyone use just one mic for everything; For micing guitar, vocals, amps etc anything and everything? I find I can make do with just an audio-technica condenser. I was just wondering if anybody is in the same boat as me.
 
One Mic

I think we are all at that same spot when we start out. If i had to have one mic, my choice would be an AKG 414 It seems to do a lot of things well, not all, as other responders have mentioned. It will do a nice job on vocals, acoustic guitars, room ambience, piano,

I love Blue Kiwi's, not so much for guitar amps though that still goes to the at4040.
