Here is another I'm working on right now. Tracked and mixed in Mixcraft.

I added a revised mix as well as the older version which was recorded with Adobe Audition 3. Thanks for listening.
 
I just added a second revised mix. I did a lot of EQ adjusting, filling out the sound a bit more. Whatcha think?
 
Have you put high pas filters on everything? there's no bottom end. I thought with the intro that you'd filtered the guitars & the bottom end would fill out with the rest of the arrangement but it doesn't.
Check you monitoring set up - it may be what you're hearing.
 
Okay, I posted the new mix. I don't know what the hell I was doing... But that last mix was horrible. I went through and fixed what went wrong. Check it out. I edited the original post so that only the newest mix and the one previous are available. Thanks!
 
Well, I finally recorded bass for this song and I made a whole lot of tweaks. I realize that I should have told you all that there was no bass guitar in this track. Well, there is now and I have changed a lot of the drum sounds and adjusted a lot of the EQ. I tried to edit my original post but it wouldn't let me so I'll just post the update here.



Please give it a listen and compare it to the previous mix. It's like night and day, I assure you.
 
That gated effect is kinda cool. So is that telephone guitar. I like the overall mix I think it's pretty level with still nice punch in the drums. Cool tune. Two thumbs up. I guess the next step is to get some vocals done. ! :D:D:D:D
 
Yep, no letting us know that the bass wasn't there meant the commentary was skewed in terms of what was presented.
The bass does add some bottom end BUT the kick drumm doesn't hit me - I know a lot of modern metal is about clicky kick but I like to feel it.
MUCH better all round mate - cool job. Does need a vocal
 
I'm not much of a metaller - the guitars sound good though and I like the gated effect on the breakdown.

The drums sound lacking in body however - maybe it's because the mix is so guitar heavy? How does it sound turning one down or the other up a touch?
 
That last mix sounds really cool and I have a distinct vocal track in my head while listening to it. Thumbs up!
 
Hey, thanks for checking it out, guys! I definitely will beef up the drums and give the kick some more oomf!

I'm really glad that you guys like my guitar tone. That is an area that I have always had trouble with here. Nobody has ever liked my guitar tone until now. But, I did a lot of research and listened to a lot of bands and the tone that I found that I liked the most is from BFMV. So, I roughly modeled my sound off of theirs on their Scream, Aim, Fire album. But, I did give mine a tad more brightness.

I'll post an update in the next couple of days with the enhanced drums.
