Yo Friends:

I just got a new Monte Carlo SS with a sound system that doesn't quit.

The CD and tape sounds are so clear, even on some tapes I did back on my old Tascam 488.

Now the question:

I'd like to get that kind of reproduction clarity in my studio.

Do I have to junk my Infinity speakers and the Alesis Monitors?

Suggestions are welcomed.

that depends. what type of system do you have in your new SS? Reciever, crossovers, amp(s), and speakers wil help.

Yo FFMADA-Hari:

I have a six speaker system in my car stereo; very pure sound. Some GM cars come with the BOSE option radio; however, I do not believe I have that; if I do, BOSE isn't mentioned in the option package.

I suppose a pair of Events would do some good as the Alesis moniors are not too good; they are just adequate. [I have the Alesis speakers tied into a pair of Infinity speakers and the end result is pretty good.]

I guess it's like a headset; very good environment inside the car with six speakers.

But, thanks for your resonse.

i was thinking the exact same thing about the headset. That's how it feels in my car too. In the October edition of Electronis Musician the have a great article about surround mixing, which would give you the same sensation, except you could put any track anywhere in the 360 degree soundfield. That would be extremely cool, but very expensive! ;)
