OMEGA DESKTOP STUDIO

I saw this product in guitar center and was very impressed. I was thinking of getting the M-Box at the time but was surprised to find that this unit (unlike the M-Box) had the MIDI in/out built into the interface. It records 24 bit and has EIGHT...yes. Eight inputs. It can also record 4 tracks simultaneously!!! (something the M-Box CAN'T DO) To top it off, it's $150 bucks cheaper ($350 us). I am researching this product and reviews are scarce because it's NEW. It comes with "Pro Tracks" recording software. (This is likely a copy of the "pro tools" format) and also includes the LEXICON reverb plug in. If ANYONE has experience with this product or relavant info ...PLEASE RESPOND

Thanks in Advance...

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

I don't know if I would roll the dice with that choice. You might want to hold off on your decision, for a while......

Pro Tracks is a Cakewalk product, and it looks the part. Feature-wise, doesn't seem all too close to Sonar, but seems comparable to their lower end stuff. I don't know if they offer a Sonar upgrade path...(if they did, that'd certainly be nice...well, me, being a stonr Sonar supporter...)

I'd personally go with E-mu...but that's just me. I don't know anyone that's actually used this thing, though a bunch of guys seemed to have jumped on the E-mu bandwagon, whose cards were released around the same time...
